52nd Operation Support Squadron (OSS) during a training event at Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany.
Our Wel-Fab Inc. LIDS Aircrew System was recently used by the 52nd Operation Support Squadron (OSS) during a training event at Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany. This training event involved Aircrew Flight Equipment (AFE) personnel and involved a nine-station decontamination process demonstrating the Air Force mission can still be accomplished even in the event of a chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear attack. AFE Airmen from the 52nd OSS received valuable training on set-up the LIDS System and deconning aircrew members by simulating pilots landing in a potentially contaminated environment.
Our Wel-Fab Inc. LIDS Aircrew and Groundcrew Systems are specifically designed to be used by our nation’s military and it has proven itself to be the fastest set-up and lightest, self-contained decontamination system on the market today. Additionally, our Aircrew and Groundcrew LIDS Systems can be set-up on many different types of terrain such as dirt, grass, assault and cement. Furthermore, the LIDS Aircrew Systems has been used in hundreds of training exercises over the years.
Wel-Fab Inc. has developed a new LIDS Aircrew Decontamination System. Our Next Generation Detailed Expedient (NGDE) Decontamination System is an ultra-lightweight decontamination system that is packed into a single container making the NGDE system the lightest, most effective decontamination system ever built. The NGDE System is listed in GSA Part Number: WFI-LIDS-NGDE-AC and it’s also listed with the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA).
